Yoga

Derived from the Sanskrit word yuj, meaning “union,” yoga is the practice of creating connection - between body, breath, and mind, and between ourselves and the world around us.

VINYASA YOGA

A Vinyasa practice invites you to flow organically, weaving breath awareness with mindful movement.

... It can feel dynamic and strengthening, while also soft, gentle, and introspective.

 

In my classes, Vinyasa is approached as a moving meditation, offering space to experience how strength and softness can coexist. You’re invited to listen inward, move with curiosity, and choose variations that honour your body and energy on any given day.

 

Rooted in deep respect for yoga’s traditional origins, my teaching integrates breath, movement, and mindfulness to support balance on both a physical and inner level.

 

Depending on what feels needed, I sometimes enrich the practice with elements of yoga therapy, sound, or yin. With gentle hands-on assistance and space to soften and reset, you’ll leave your mat feeling balanced, regulated, and more deeply connected with yourself.

YIN YOGA

Yin Yoga is an invitation to slow down and discover the power of stillness.

In this practice, shapes are held for several minutes, allowing your body to soften, tension to gradually dissolve, and deeper layers of your body to be accessed.

 

Supported by props, breathing techniques, and meditative guidance, you’re invited to ease into each posture and enter a state of presence, relaxation, and introspection. Yin Yoga encourages inward listening, supports nervous system regulation, and deepens self-awareness.

 

To enhance the experience, I love to weave sound instruments into the practice, supporting deeper relaxation - especially during savasana.

 

Suitable for all levels, this class complements more dynamic practices and offers a pause to reset and reconnect within the rhythm of everyday life.
